Possessing an open floor configuration, the War Memorial Auditorium is a 2,000-seat venue across the street from the Tennessee Performing Arts Center at 505 Deaderick Street, next to the Tennessee State Capitol.
The War Memorial Auditorium was the site of Charlie Daniels’ first Volunteer Jam on October 4, 1974. Carrie Underwood’s “Don’t Forget To Remember Me” 2006 Single also featured the auditorium. And, from 1939 to 1943, the auditorium was the home of the Grand Ole Opry.
